In 1997 when the Film Judaai released, no one expected such an unusual story to win people’s hearts. The story takes you through a journey of a money-obsessed woman who forces her husband to marry another woman for her riches. The Sridevi, Anil Kapoor and Urmila Matondkar starrer became a cult hit with characters played by Paresh Rawal, Farida Jalal, Upasana Singh and Johnny Lever becoming an instant sensation.

Bollywood actress and comedian Upasana Singh played a double role in Judaai of mother and daughter. While the mother could speak, the daughter was mute except for being able to say the words, “Abba Dabba Jabba”. The dialogue became so famous that it almost became synonymous with the actress. Some even called her the Abba Dabba Jabba girl. Using the popularity, Singh has now registered that very dialogue as the name of her next film. It will also star Johnny Lever and the actress’s son Nanak in lead.

Speaking about her film Upasana said, “I played the roles of a mother and mute woman, who just says ‘abba dabba jabba’. I was not convinced about it but went with the director’s conviction. I put all my effort into expressing those words with different variations and moods. And it clicked! It made me the ‘abba dabba jabba’ girl. People still remember me for that dialogue and request me to say it. I feel blessed about it. Now, I am making a film titled, Abba Dabba Jabba. I have registered the title, and we are working on the script.”
