Writer and filmmaker Raaj Shaandilyaa recently received his first award as a lyricist for his production Janhit Mein Jari, which starred Nushratt Bharuccha in the lead. He was honored by singer and musician Leslie Lewis. Raj wrote the lyrics for the title track of the film. Produced and written by Shaandilya, Janhit Mein Jaari also featured Paritosh Tripathi, Vijay Raaz in key roles. Reacting to his win, Shaandilya told, "I have to congratulate the entire team of Janhit Mein Jaari. It's my first award as a lyricis, I am thankful to God."

Shaandilyaa is currently working on the sequel of his hit film 'Dream Girl'. Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, 'Dream Girl 2' will feature Ayushmann Khurrana, Ananya Panday and Paresh Rawal in lead roles.
