The 2018 release Raid was loved by the audience and made a significant collection at the box office as well. Now after 4 years of its release the makers of the movie have announced the sequel Raid 2. Raid features Ajay Devgn in the lead role.

Everything About Raid 2- Ajay Devgn  Returns as IRS officer Amay Patnaik:

Raid 2 will hit the theaters on 15th November 2024. From today itself the movie has gone on floors. Raid is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, who also directed the first part of the movie. The sequel to the movie is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak under their banners T-Series and Panorama Studios, respectively. Ajay Devgn will be back as IRS officer Amay Patnaik.

The announcement was made by T-series on Twitter (X) on 6th January. They captioned the post, 'The wait is over! Ajay Devgn is back as IRS Officer Amay Patnaik in Raid2, ready to bring another true case to the big screen on 15th November 2024.'

Shoot For Raid 2 Begins:

The beginning of the shoot for Raid 2 has been started by the makers today (6 January). The movie will be shot in locations such as Mumbai, Delhi, and the cities of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. 

Looking back on the blockbuster of 2018 Raid:

Talking about the 2018 crime drama movie Raid; it was written by Ritesh Shah and directed by Raj Kumar Gupta. Along with Ajay Devgn, it featured  Ajay Devgn, Saurabh Shukla, Ileana D'Cruz, Amit Sial, Vikram Kochhar, and Gayathri Iyer. The plot of the movie revolves around lRS officer Amay Patnaik who operates an income-tax raid corrupt politician. The movie was based on the longest raid in the history of India which lasted for three days and two nights. The movie narrated the real-life raid on Congress politician Sardar Inder Singh whose premise was raided by IT officers in the 1980s in Madhya Pradesh.

Another much-awaited story of IRS officer Amay Patnaik will be out on big screens on 15 November. The supporting cast of the movie is yet to be disclosed by the makers.
