Raj Kundra surprised everyone at the trailer launch event of his upcoming movie UT 69 as he finally revealed his face by removing the mask he had been hiding behind all this time. The movie, which is based on Raj Kundra's real-life story, portrays his journey into jail after being accused of producing explicit content. Directed by Shahnawaz Ali, this eagerly awaited movie promises to shed light on the fierce events surrounding Raj Kundra's life.

Arriving at the press conference with a mask resembling a helmet, Raj Kundra caught the attention of the media. However, he decided to do away with the mask, baring his face for all to see. This unexpected move led to him opening up about the reason behind his consistent mask-wearing. During the event, Raj Kundra shared, "I wore the mask as a coping mechanism. Enduring the media trial was incredibly painful for me. It was even more agonizing than the ongoing legal trial. I don't hold you accountable (speaking to the media) because you were only doing your job. However, the pain was so intense that I felt the need to shield myself. I wanted to avoid being recognized or photographed."

To provide context, Raj Kundra faced charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, the Indecent Representation of Women (Prevention) Act, and the Information Technology Act for allegedly distributing and transmitting sexually explicit videos back in July 2021. He was subsequently arrested by the Mumbai Police and later granted bail in September 2021 by a metropolitan magistrate's court.

Since his release from jail, Raj Kundra has made a conscious effort to maintain a low-profile presence. Over the past few months, he has frequently been photographed wearing a mask in public. Recently, he and his wife, Shilpa Shetty, were spotted on a dinner date, both donning masks as they posed for paparazzi. Referring to the couple's mask-wearing, the paparazzi playfully dubbed them the "Power Ranger Couple." Before entering the restaurant, upon the paparazzi's request, Shilpa Shetty briefly removed her mask.

Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty tied the knot in 2009 and are proud parents to their son, Viaan, and daughter, Samisha.
