Shilpa’s debut in films in the year 1993 Shilpa Shetty got her debut break in the Romantic Thriller film Bazigar and it was a blockbuster film with Shahrukh Khan and Kajol. After these two films ' success at the box office, Shilpa Shetty did not have much to do in films. In 2000 once again she acted in a superhit film Dhadkan which marked a turning point in her career for the 2nd time earning her appreciation and brownie points. She rose to fame by featuring as the lead in three of India’s annual top-grossing films, the 2004 Garv which was a film on Cops, followed by her film in Kannada film Auto Shankar in 2005 and the family drama in Pardesi Babu in 1998, 2007 saw her in the film Apne, Rishtey in 2002, Life in A Metro in 2007. Shilpa Shetty did a role very different from her song and dance sequence and went on to do the role of an intense character in the film Dus in 2005, an action thriller film that received average returns at the Box Office. In 2005 she starred in the Kannada film Auto Shankar with Upendra and it earned her the name ‘ Gabbar Singh of South’ due to her villainous role in the film. In the same year, she also starred in the Bollywood release Fareb with her sister Shamita Shetty followed by a much-delayed venture in 2006 Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar.
