Synopsis

Raju lost his parents at a very young age and now lives with his unmarried sister Laxmi. They are poor and have a hand to mouth existence and yet manage to make ends meet. He meets with a fellow collegian Parul and falls in love with her. Parul’s uncle however, wants her to marry a police inspector named Suryadev. When the inspector comes to know of this, he gets furious and arrest Raju, falsely implicating him of murder and beats him inside the lockup. Meanwhile Laxmi helps his brother escape prison but things take an ugly turn when Parul consumes poison and dies. Raju is devastated and also filled with rage. Things get even more tragic, when Laxmi is sexually assaulted by Suryadev. She loose her mental balance. He takes her to the village, where he meets Bijli. Turns out that Bijli is a police inspector in plain clothes, assigned to arrest Raju. He then confesses to killing Parul’s uncle. This time his target will be Suryadev as the latter plans to finish Raju as well. The film is directed by K Ravi Shankar and produced by A Krishnamurthy. The music is composed by Dilip Sen and the lyrics are written by Sameer. The story and screenplay is written by Satish Chand Jain. The cinematography is by K V Ramanna. The film’s star cast includes Govinda, Shilpa Shetty, Shakti Kapoor, Sadashiv Amrapurkar,Goga Kapoor,Sameer Sen,Kader Khan,Mohnish Behl,Suhas Joshi,Suresh Chatwal,Avtar Gill,Dinesh Hingoo,Viju Khote, Sonali Bendre, Prajkta Kulkarni, Asha Singh and Pushpa Verma.
