Suraj, played by Anil Kapoor is from a middle class background. He is in love with Komal, played by Karisma Kapoor, who is from a wealthy family. Her father Yashpal is against their romance due to Suraj being from a poor family and wants a rich boy for his daughter. Komal is heartbroken when her father refuses to let them marry and cuts all ties with him and marries Suraj. Soon Komal is pregnant and meets her father at a family function. They both reconcile and he forgives her. However on reaching home, Komal finds another woman in her house wearing her clothes and says that she is in love with Suraj. This devastates Komal, however Suraj has no idea who the woman is and what she is doing in his house.

 

Turns out Yashpal did this to break Suraj and Komal’s marriage. She is furious at Suraj and doesn’t trust him anymore and leaves his house with her father. Komal gives birth to a Baby boy. Yashpal decides to kill the baby as it is Suraj’ and cut all ties with him. But Suraj manages to save the baby and takes him away to a remote village and raises him there. Later Komal learns of Suraj living with her son and breaks down. They then have a bitter custody of their child in court, but love wins in the end.

 

The movie is directed by Inder Kumar and produced by Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria. The music is composed by Sanjeev and Darshan. The cinematography is by Baba Amin and the choreography is by Ganesh Acharya and Dilip Mistry.
