After War 2, Yash Raj Films have initiated groundwork to reboot their other blockbuster franchise Dhoom. It is almost certain that Ranbir Kapoor will play the lead role in Dhoom 4.

But there is a considerable buzz on which actor should be cast opposite him. If reports are to be believed, the makers have once again turned to the Telugu industry for this.

YRF Eyes Southern Market

YRF these days wants to solidify it's presence in market of southern part of the country. For this reason, they cast Jr NTR in 'War 2'. However, this move had limited success and couldn't deliver desirable results. Still, the makers are trying the same trick again for 'Dhoom 4'. For this, they have also approached a celebrated face of the Telugu industry.

Ram Charan in Negotiations

According to Deccan Chronicle, negotiations are in process to add Ram Charan for the second role in 'Dhoom 4'. Ram's RRR had earned Rs 1200 crore worldwide. But his other recent films have failed to make a mark. 

Despite this, there are reports that YRF wants to bring him in 'Dhoom 4'. The interesting thing is that as soon as this news came out on the internet, Ram's fans cautioned him to refuse this project. This is because people did not like Jr NTR's treatment in 'War 2'. They fear that YRF might do the same with Ram in 'Dhoom 4'.

Speculation Around Casting

This is not the first time that such news has come out about Ram's casting in 'Dhoom 4'. Earlier in 2023 also, such reports were coming on the internet. The difference is that then there was buzz of Shahrukh Khan playing the lead role in 'Dhoom 4' instead of Ranbir.

 At present, all this is nothing more than rumor for now. Because no official statement has come from YRF on this yet. Despite this, it is certain that YRF has started preparing to develop 'Dhoom 4' along with Alia Bhatt-Sharvari starrer 'Alpha'.
