Director Ram Gopal Varma who just celebrated the re-release of his blockbuster film Satya falls in Trouble. Varma has been sentenced to an imprisonment of three months due to a cheque bounce case.


Ram Gopal Varma who has been facing financial challenges of late was unable to make the payments to the complainant of the 2018 movie 'Stree'.


The director was called for a hearing in court on Tuesday, January 21. Since he could not appear in court, the court accused him under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. The court has also directed him give Rs 3.72 lakh to the complainant as compensation.
