Ranveer Singh’s much-awaited action thriller Dhurandhar is turning heads even before its release. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film is described as being ‘inspired by true events’, sparking widespread curiosity about the real story behind it.
The teaser showcases Ranveer in an intense avatar as an undercover operative, navigating high-stakes missions across borders. While the makers have kept the plot under wraps, reports suggest the film takes cues from India’s intelligence operations and covert missions handled by R&AW.

Rumours are rife that Dhurandhar may be inspired by real-life figures such as Major Mohit Sharma or NSA Ajit Doval. However, the production team has clarified that the film is not a direct biopic but a tribute to India’s unsung heroes.
Recently, the film made headlines when over 100 crew members reportedly fell ill during a shoot in Leh, briefly halting production. Despite the setback, Dhurandhar remains one of the most anticipated films of 2025.
Produced under the banner of B62 Studios, the film is slated for a theatrical release on December 5, 2025.
