The Genda Phool famed Rapper Badshah has been in the headlines many times for his hit songs. However, in today’s news, he is been surrounded by controversy, not regarding the music. 

In the report shared by the media Badshah has found himself under the radar of the Maharashtra Police Cyber ​​Cell because of a connection with an app named FairPlay. As per the reports FIR has been registered against  Bollywood’s Sanju Baba and 40  by a media company in an alleged digital piracy case.

India Today published a report stating about the FIR which has been registered against rapper Badshah, Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt and 40 others by the Viacom 18 network. The FIR has been registered on the grounds of illegally promoting Fairplay, an online betting app.

After Viacom's complaint, Maharashtra Cyber ​​Department has registered a case of digital copywriter against the betting app FairPlay. As per Viacom’s claims they have the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) to stream the matches whereas the betting app FairPlay has been illegally streaming the matches.

The rapper Badshah today, on Monday, appeared before the Maharashtra Cyber office on the matter.
