Sai Pallavi is all set to reunite with Dhanush in his upcoming Tamil Film tentatively named D55.  The latest buzz surrounding the role has already grabbed the attention of her fans.  The actress is however in talks to play a fierce police officer in a high-profile action thriller which is to be directed by Rajkumar Periasamy known for his critically acclaimed Amaran. 


The untitled film is already one of the most talked about Tamil projects. It’s in production with the powerful star cast featuring Dhanush, Malayalam superstar Mammootty and Sai Pallavi for the very first time.  While the makers have not officially confirmed Sai Pallavi’s character as yet, the buzz is about her portraying a cop which has sparked a major excitement online among the movie buffs. 


Sources indicate the key scene involves Dhanush and Mammootty who have already been filmed on their major roles in Chennai. The combination alone has raised high expectations while Sai Pallavi’s possible addition as the strong female lead has added further curiosity around this much awaited project. 


Sai Pallavi has recently been occupied with Ramayana the biggest films in her career. 


Over the past few years, Sai Pallavi has been very selective of her roles and her scripts and has appeared in fewer Telugu or Tamil films. However, the actress now plans to become more active in South cinema once again.  While she confirmed the cop role would mark a new beginning to Sai Pallavi’s filmography, she is widely admired for her rich and natural performance in every character or role she portrays.   


The film is being produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films in association with RTake Studios.  Music is composed by Sai Abhyankkar who will handle the soundtrack and the background music score. 


Fans are now eager for the makers to reveal the official title and share the first look of the film.
