The biopic on the legendary Carnatic Icon will be directed by the much-acclaimed film maker Gowtam Tinnanuri. 

The official announcement of the film is still awaited while Sai Pallavi has already begun her intensive training in Carnatic music to slip into the role of the legend.  She expressed that this was one of the most demanding roles in her career and she wants to put in her best.   

When is the biopic expected its release?

Tinnanuri has dived deep into the research and Sai Pallavi is said to be studying the archived footage and performances of Subbalakshmi, to capture her grace, her style of singing, voice and the spiritual aura that she had. 

The prestigious biopic is expected to go on floors later this year. A cinematic tribute to one of India’s greatest musical treasures, Gowtam Tinnanuri is reportedly is completing his research on the legend.

Sai Pallavi in the mean while has bagged this prestigious project in which she will essay the titular role of M.S Subbalakshmi, she will be seen playing the role of Sita in Ramayana.
