Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan produced the 2017 thriller Ittefaq without even reading the script! Renu Chopra, the film’s co-producer, recently revealed that SRK backed the project purely out of goodwill and didn’t charge any interest on the investment.

According to Renu Chopra, when she asked about the interest on the funds, SRK humbly refused, saying, "Ye haraam hai mere liye" (This is forbidden for me). His gesture showcased his generosity and deep respect for the project.

Directed by Abhay Chopra, Ittefaq was a remake of the 1969 classic and starred Sidharth Malhotra, Sonakshi Sinha, and Akshaye Khanna in lead roles. Despite being a gripping suspense thriller, the film performed modestly at the box office.
