Shahid Kapoor To Work With Dad Pankaj Kapur In Jersey

Veteran actor Pankaj Kapur will play mentor to his son Shahid Kapoor’s character in the upcoming sports drama Jersey. The father and son duo will be sharing screen space together after a gap of almost 4 years. They last collaborated together in the Alia Bhatt starrer Shaandaar. The film will also star Super 30 actress Mrunal Thakur, who will play the love interest of the Kabir Singh actor. Shahid will be playing the role of a 30 something cricketer in the film and has been training hard since two months for the same.

Pankaj Kapur and Shahid Kapoor have previously also worked together in Mausam that was incidentally directed by the former. Jersey will be their third film together and is a Hindi remake of the Telugu film of the same name. It is directed by Gowtam Tinnanauri and will go on floor next week in Chandigarh.
