The romantic drama 'Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan', which released in theatres on Friday, has finally crossed the Rs 1 crore mark after its first weekend. Starring Vikrant Massey and Shanaya, the film has so far earned Rs 1.2 crore in its first three days in India. However, this film has introduced a new face on the big screen. Vikrant-Shanaya starrer fails to impress
According to the initial estimates of Sacnilk, Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan earned around Rs 0.79 crore in its first two days, Rs 0.30 crore on Friday and Rs 0.49 crore on Saturday with a slight increase. At the same time, the film collected Rs 0.41 crore on Sunday. In such a situation, in three days, Shanaya Kapoor's debut film has collected around Rs 1.2 crore on its first weekend. The total occupancy of the film on Sunday was 17.11 percent, which is slightly better than the 15.25 percent of the Hindi version on Saturday.
Shanaya Kapoor's debut flopped
Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor's daughter Shanaya Kapoor was earlier going to start her career with 'Bedhadak'. But, this project got canceled. She made her Bollywood entry with 'Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan'. Directed by Santosh Singh and produced by Manasi Bagla and Varun Bagla, the film was released in theatres last Friday. 'Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan' is inspired by Ruskin Bond's popular short story 'The Eyes Have It'. However, people did not like the story of the film at all and Shanaya Kapoor also failed to win people's hearts. Shanaya Kapoor was seen sharing the screen with Vikrant in her first film. The pair was new. But still it could not become a hit at the box office.
