Sharad Kelkar To Play The Role Of Baji Prabhu Deshpande In A Period Drama

Last seen in the Ajay Devgn and Kajol starrer Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, Marathi actor Sharad Kelkar will be seen next in another epic tale. The star has been roped in to play the role of the warrior Baji Prabhu Deshpande in filmmaker Abhijeet Deshpande’s upcoming period drama based on the night at Pawankhind when Bajiprabhu (played by Sharad Kelkar) helped Shivaji Maharaj (played by Subodh Bhave) escape from Panhala with only a small army of 270 soldiers. 

The yet to be titled film will be produced under the banner of Shree Ganesh Marketing and Films Dark Prince Pictures. The film has been shot in real locations like Kolhapur, Sangli and Panhala, among others.
