“Some Situations Are Beyond Our Control”- RRR Makers Release Statement As The Alia Bhatt Starrer Gets Postponed

As there is a sudden surge of covid positive cases across the country, filmmakers are forced to shut shop once again. With massive budgets, big star casts and crores spent on promotions, this comes as a huge setback for not just move makers but also cinema hall owners. The much anticipated magnum opus RRR by S S Rajamouli was to hit cinemas this month, but now that has been pushed indefinitely as well. In an official statement to fans and media, the makers shared, “Inspite of our relentless efforts, some situations are beyond our control. As many Indian states are closing theatres, we are left with no choice but to ask you to hold on to your excitement. We promised to bring back The Glory of Indian Cinema, and at the right time, WE WILL.”
RRR makers also shared the message on their official Twitter handle writing, “Keeping the best interests of all the involved parties in mind, we are forced to postpone our film. Our sincere thanks to all the fans and audience for their unconditional love. #RRRPostponed #RRRMovie.” The film stars Jr. NTR, Ram Charan and Alia Bhatt in the lead. Ajay Devgn will be seen in a cameo appearance in the film too. The makers will also have to refund nearly 8-10 crores to US cinema halls that had advance booking for the film.
