Bollywood star Anil Kapoor is thrilled to be attending the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in a new role—as a producer. His movie, 'Thank You For Coming,' has been selected for screening at this esteemed event.

In a recent statement, Kapoor expressed his long-standing desire to attend TIFF. "Ever since the success of 'Slumdog Millionaire,' I've been wanting to participate in TIFF. During that time, I had the chance to visit numerous prestigious film festivals, ranging from the BFI in London to Cannes, but TIFF always remained on my bucket list," Kapoor shared.

The one festival that eluded Anil Kapoor back in the days of 'Slumdog Millionaire' was the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Unfortunately, visa issues prevented him from attending, leaving TIFF as an unfulfilled wish on his bucket list. "I missed out on attending TIFF back then simply because my visa didn't come through in time. So it has remained a goal of mine to be there ever since," Kapoor revealed.

Fast forward to the present, and the Bollywood actor is fulfilling that long-held aspiration, but this time, in the role of a proud producer. "I might have missed the opportunity to be at TIFF as part of a film's cast back then, but this year is special. I'll be there as a producer, showcasing a film that I truly believe in," he said. His movie, 'Thank You For Coming,' is set to be screened, and according to Kapoor, it's a project teeming with "heart, soul, and a little bit of sass."

Kapoor expressed immense gratitude for this new chapter in his career, and for the chance to showcase his film on such a revered international stage. "I couldn't be prouder to be a part of 'Thank You For Coming,' and to have it spotlighted at such a prestigious platform is truly a dream come true," he concluded.

Joining Anil Kapoor at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) for the screening of 'Thank You For Coming' will be a star-studded lineup including Bhumi Pednekar, Shehnaaz Gill, Dolly Singh, Kusha Kapila, and Shibani Bedi. The film's producer Ekta Kapoor and director Karan Boolani are also slated to attend the event.

Brought to life through a collaborative effort between Balaji Telefilms Limited and Anil Kapoor Film Communication Network Pvt. Ltd, 'Thank You For Coming' is being heralded as a chick flick to watch out for.  Audiences won't have to wait long to catch this much-anticipated film on the big screen, as it's set for a theatrical release on October 6.
