Taapsee Pannu, Gulshan Devaiah Starrer
Taapsee Pannu has become a thriller specialist. After Badla, Game Over, Haseen Dilruba, Looop Lapeta and Dobaaraa, we can now add Blurr to the list. The film is the Hindi adaptation of the Spanish thriller Julia's Eyes. The trailer of the film, which just released, suggests that it deals with the story of twins Gayatri and Gautami, both played by Taapsee Pannu. Gayathri's life is turned upside down when Gautami, who was blind, dies by suicide, at least that is the conclusion of the police.
Gayathri is convinced that her sister could not have ended her life and begins an investigation into her death. Her husband (Gulshan Devaiah) does not support her, though he is satisfied with the police's version. The worst part for Gayatri is that she too is slowly losing her eyesight. It is clear from the trailer that Blurr goes into thriller mode from the very beginning. Aside from the story, which is both intriguing and sad, the technical departments including the color grading demand your attention. The trailer ends on a creepy note with a character shining torchlight on Gayatri's face but she can only see darkness.
Taapsee is in fine form as a woman troubled by multiple reasons. The rest of the cast does not get much screen time in the trailer. Directed by Ajay Bahl and produced by Tony D’Souza, Pradeep Sharma and Manav Durga, Blurr will stream on ZEE5 from December 9.
