Bollywood actress Tara Sutaria might have got a lucky break in Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year 2, but she has proved that she’s not just a pretty face. Her acting capabilities have been honed with every film that she has taken on. The Marjaavaan actress has now reportedly signed her very first solo lead film with Murad Khetani. The latter has backed movies like the Shahid Kapoor starrer Kabir Singh and Notebook among others. The film’s story will revolve around the survival of a young girl under challenging circumstances, more on the lines of Anushka Sharma starrer NH10.

Tara’s solo lead film will be directed by Brij Mohan Amar Rahe fame filmmaker Nikhil Bhat. In December last year Tara had revealed, “It is fun to get to be someone completely different and choose films that probably I might have earlier thought I would not do. But as I am growing with this journey and learning so much about who I want to be in the industry and how I want to portray myself. I am learning that I really enjoy being a part of commercial cinema and I actually do have an announcement that I will come out with soon and that is very contrasting to the couple of releases I have lined up.”

Apart from this film, Tara will also be seen in the John Abraham starrer Ek Villain Returns and opposite Tiger Shroff in Heropanti 2. She was last seen in Tadap with debutant Ahan Shetty.
