The Hindi romantic drama film Tera Yaar Hoon Main released in cinemas on July 24th 2026 found its base and foundation shaky not creating an impact on the audience.  The film is facing heavy criticism and has been receiving poor reviews though the final box office verdict is still too early after the first day of its release.


Tera Yaar Hoon Main featuring Paresh Rawal, Aman Indra Kumar and Akanksha Sharma in lead roles. A desperate attempt to include romance and comedy together in the cinematic charming film but the benchmarks for laughs is unfortunately not taken too well by the audience despite Paresh Rawal’s sincere performance. 


Rajan Aggarwal’s screenplay is generic relying on the typical familiar rom-com stereotypes without much freshness except the young star couple. A love story that has not generated enough onscreen chemistry between the two lead stars to justify their romance. The two and half hour run time has Paresh Rawal in almost every frame has failed to let the film pick up its momentum.

Directed by Milap Milan Zaveri, the story revolves around Sanju essayed by Aman Indra Kumar in this debut film.  He comes to Mumbai and ends up staying with his a close friend of his mother, Vishvanath essayed by Paresh Rawal and promptly falls in love with his beautiful daughter Anu, essayed by Akanksha Sharma .   The two strike a friendship that is typical of young two souls coming together under the same roof. However, the father is keen to get her married to someone else and what follows is chaotic and very predictable.  A tug of war that follows between Vishwanath and Sanju with a more of melodrama and repetitive sequence.




Aman Indra Kumar for his debut has a long way to go as an actor while he tried hard to fit in the mold, flexing his bulging biceps and bounced around with confidence, but he has an expression that is not conveying enough emotions for a love story. Akanksha Sharma looks pretty and charming. Paresh Rawal a seasoned veteran in the film has weak material for his caliber .


Moving forward this week is for the audience to decide on the fate of the film with Paresh Rawal doing a great job,  placing him between his deep friendship and his duties as a father is worth the watch.
