The official reports suggests an announcement about King 100 is likely to be made only around Nagarjuna’s birthday in August.  It will be one of the much-awaited updates for the Akkineni fans. The film is considered to create a landmark project in the actor’s illustrious career and the makers are determined to ensure the theatrical launch is a grand celebration. 


While no dates of release is yet confirmed, December 2026 and Sankranthi 2027 are two festive dates that are reportedly being considered. The strategical launch during a festival release can attract a wider audience and provide the film the biggest possible theatrical platforms. 


The significant development in the multi-starrer film and the 100th milestone for Nagarjuna 


The much talked about Nagarjuna Akkineni family multi starrer featuring Naga Chaitanya, Akhil Akkineni and Nagarjuna has reportedly put on hold. The decision is taken to ensure Nagarjuna can completely dedicate his attention to King 100, before he can take up any more commitments. The family entertainer had generated lot of excitement but it is a promise of the three generations in the family to come together on the big screen and share the screen space. 




Meanwhile Akhil Akkineni has returned after the three-year gap with Lenin. The actor recently reflected on the failure of the Agent. Revealing that he had sensed problems after watching the film’s first edit, he chose to remain committed to the project until its release.   


On the work front Nagarjuna was last seen in the Tamil Thriller film, ‘Coolie’ in which he plays the antagonist Simon.  He has also appeared in the multi starrer action drama Kuberaa.
