Actress Kiran Khoje who has been part of some great movies like Talvar, Hindi Medium and Super 30 is currently being seen in Saurabh Shukla’s movie 'Dry Day' on Prime Video. This is also Kiran’s OTT debut and here she shares her journey with the movie. 'Last year, I got a call from casting director Kavish Sinha for an audition. I went for the audition and after 1.5 months when I did not get a call back, I somehow forgot about it. But one fine day, I got a call saying that I was selected for the film. I remember I met Saurabh Shukla Sir and the cast for the first time during the reading session for the film. And then went to Bhopal for a 45-day schedule in which I had worked for 15 days.'

Discussing more about her role in Dry Day Kiran says, 'I am playing a character called Janki in the film who is a kind of a catalyst. We all stay in a fictitious village where all men have a problem with drinking. Janki is someone who is obviously very upset with this problem and, like others, my character believes men should get rid from their drinking habits. Though I have been part of some great films before, I have a full fledged role in this film. Janki has a character arc in Dry Day which I love as an artist. Being a Maharashtrian, my Hindi is good but in Dry Day I had to speak a language local to Madhya Pradesh so I took help from our associate director Anil Choudhury and the captain of our ship Saurabh Shukla.'

Kiran feels working under the guidance of Saurabh Shukla is the best thing that has happened to her career. She says, 'Working under writer director Saurabh Shukla In Dry Day is like going to acting school. He is brilliant on set, the way the world knows him is a very happy go lucky and jolly person -- he is exactly the same on the set as well. The most rewarding factor for me was I always went to the set with a happy mood. That’s a big thing for any actor. The film has some 250-300 junior artists and the crew is managing them so well. Directing was also a huge task but Saurabh Sir did with so much expertise. Also working with actors like Jitendra Kumar, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Annu Kapoor and rest of the cast is such an honour. Recently, when we met during the premiere of the film, we all had so much fun and were reminiscing about our shooting schedule in Bhopal.'

Kiran who made her OTT debut with 'Dry Day' feels that OTT platforms have huge scope for all the actors, technicians and that’s the reason there is demand. She adds, 'Dry Day is not preachy yet the film has a very important message. There is a strong relatability with all the characters and the situations.'
