A journalist with a heavy sense of danger trying to piece together the story of a missing person. Yami Gautam plays the role of crime reporter Riddhi Sahani in the trailer for the feature film Lost, which is directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury. In the trailer, she appears to be unflinching in her pursuit of the truth. The disclaimer that approximately 665 people go missing in India each year begins the trailer's two minutes and 19 seconds. According to the National Crime Records Bureau's 2019 report, someone goes missing every two minutes. Yami's voiceover then asks, "What's more important for a reporter:" the truth or to act ethically?

The action then moves to Kolkata's Amherst Police Station, where a woman files a report about her missing brother, Ishan Bharti. Ishan's family claims that the police have been harassing them under the guise of interrogation, while Riddhi describes Ishan's case as a love story. In contrast, the authorities in charge of law enforcement believe that Ishan is a member of an extremist group. The police aren't sure if Ishan is still alive or gone.

Riddhi challenges the police's account and conducts an independent parallel investigation. She breaks up with powerful people as a result, and her boss warns her not to continue with the story. The wait is on to see how Aniruddha, the director of Pink, which stars Amitabh Bachchan and is based on true events, has connected everything in this mystery thriller. Riddhi is determined to find out the truth.
