Actor Yami Gautam voiced her opinion on what she describes as growing paid hype , a trend followed in Bollywood only in the recent times. The actor took to to her X account to say the trend of spreading negativity against another actor or criticizing the films is like a plague that will impact the future of the film industry. Actor Hrithik Roshan worked with Yami in the film Kaabil supported her with her comments.


Yami addressed the issue which has been going on for a long time, calling it a trend of giving money in disguise to the marketing of the film so that it ensures a good hype for the film or the actor . She also said unless you shell out the money, they will write only negative things about the film or the actor even before the film is released. She came up strongly on this point that it was a direct way of extortion. It is an easily accessible arrangement but it is going to affect the future of this film industry in a big way. She went on to say this is no less than a monster which is called a trend in the industry but it’s going to bite everyone. It is done under a garb so if exposed about a million things will be exposed. Therefore, will not be a pretty picture for many .




Yami says her opinion is out of deep concern for the film fraternity which does not exist in the South film industry.


Yami Gautam added that in the South film industry does not practice this trend and it is because they believe in a strong unity . She urged the esteemed producers, actors and directors who come together in order and arrest this culture at its roots before it spreads further .

Yami spoke about her husband in the highest regard stating that she is the wife of an extremely honest gentleman who has given his everything to this film , with his hard work and a vision to create something that she knows India will be very proud of .

She ended by saying let’s not kill the joy of film making and present it to the world and let the audience decide what they feel about the film, while we protect the interest of our industry environment said Yami as she concluded with a deep concern for the Hindi film industry.
