The Qurbani fame actress recently shared an insightful story wherein she worked with the legendary actor Rishi Kapoor. Also, she emphasised the fact that in those times, the industry considered it quite unappealing for an actress to be taller than her on-screen love interest.
Zeenat Aman Shares Her Work Experience With Rishi Kapoor
The veteran actress took to her Instagram handle to share two clips from the film titled ‘Hum Kisise Kum Naheen.’ The first clip featured a romantic scene, while the second clip showcased the iconic qawwali, ‘Hai Agar Dushman Zamana Gum Naheen.’ She also mentioned that director Nasir Hussain used two cushions to make Rishi Kapoor taller than her.
The actress wrote a caption, ‘Here’s the truth, of all the men I worked with from the Kapoor khandan, Rishi and I interacted the least, both socially and professionally. In fact, in all the years that our careers overlapped, we only featured together in one song. That, too, because Director Nasir Hussain had me pinned as a bit of a lucky talisman that year. Why? Because Yaadon Ki Baaraat, his previous film in which I had starred, had been a blockbuster hit.
Also, the actress confessed that the success of Yaadon Ki Baaraat overwhelmed her, and she couldn’t refuse Nasir Hussain’s request for a special appearance in Hum Kisise Kum Naheen. She added, ‘My role involved just this one Qawalli number (the only one of my career) and a romantic scene with Chintu ji.’

The actress is currently recovering, as she was recently admitted to the hospital due to some health concerns. While she is a part of Netflix’s recent web series ‘The Royals,’. Its cast includes Bhumi Pednekar, Ishaan Khatter, Sakshi Tanwar and Nora Fatehi in key roles. Netflix released the series on 9th May, 2025.
