Kangana Ranaut Transforms Into One Of The Most Powerful Women Of India, PM Indira Gandhi In ‘Emergency’ Teaser

Bollywood actress turned filmmaker Kangana Ranaut has unveiled the much awaited teaser of her upcoming directorial debut film Emergency, where she will be essaying the role of late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Her first look in the teaser is powerful and she wants the American president to know that in her office everyone addresses her as ‘Sir’ and not ‘Madam’. 

Sharing the teaser of Emergency on her Twitter account Kangana wrote, “Presenting ‘Her’ who was called ‘Sir’ #Emergency shoot begins.” Kangana’s physical transformation has been done by Oscar-winner David Malinowski who has films like Darkest Hour (2017), World War Z (2013) and The Batman (2022) to his credit. Speaking of helming the film Kangana had previously said, “Pleased to wear director’s hat again. After working on Emergency for more than a year, I finally figured no one can direct it better than me. Collaborating with fabulous writer Ritesh Shah. Even if it means sacrificing on various acting assignments, I am determined to do it. My excitement is high. This is going to be a tremendous journey.”
