Ranveer Singh Starrer 83’s Teaser Gives A Glimpse Of India’s Historic Moment

Finally we get to see a glimpse of the much awaited sports drama 83. The makers unveiled its short teaser today to reveal how Kapil Dev played by Ranveer Singh caught the  iconic catch at the Lord’s cricket ground to bring India close to win the World Cup. Sharing the teaser on his social media page, the Simmba actor wrote, “The greatest Story. The greatest Glory. 83 releasing in cinemas on 24th December 2021 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.” 

83 has a huge and impressive star cast which includes Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Adinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa, R Badree and Pankaj Tripathi. Deepika Padukone will essay the role of Kapil Dev’s wife Romi. The film’s director Kabir Khan earlier shared his experience of shooting at Lord’s saying, “We shot for five days at the Lord’s stadium in London, entering the members-only Long Room where no camera had ventured before, the dressing rooms and locker rooms, then, stepped out on the balcony where the World Cup was presented to Kapil sir. And guess what? They brought out the real-World Cup for Ranveer too. Overwhelmed, he broke down when I shouted ‘Cut’.” The film is all set to hit the big screens on 24th December 2021.
