Bollywood's famous director Hansal Mehta has surprised the audience with many films and web series till now. The director entertained everyone in the world of web series with 'Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story'. The director had announced that he would soon return to the audience with the second installment of the series. As promised, you are back with the follow up story of Hansal Mehta series 'Scam 2003: The Telgi Story'. Hansal Mehta has also announced the release date of the series while releasing the explosive trailer today.

The trailer of Hansal Mehta's upcoming web series 'Scam 2003: The Telgi Story' has been released on Tuesday, 22nd August evening. Through this series, the story of Abdul Karim Telgi, the mastermind of the stamp paper scam, will be shown, how the Rs 30,000 crore stamp paper scam done through Telgi shook the whole of India and the entire economy. This incident, which shook the entire country in a big way, has been taken from the Hindi book 'Reporter's Diary' by journalist and news reporter Sanjay Singh.

Theater actor Gagan Dev Riar will play the role of Abdul Karim Telgi in the series . Hansal Mehta had earlier brought 'Scam 1992' in the year 2020, in which Pratik Gandhi played the lead role. 'The Telgi Story' will take viewers in depth about the scamster who printed fake stamp papers. He hired over 300 people who defrauded banks, insurance companies and many others in order to acquire the machines needed to print the stamp paper. There was a scam of Rs 30,000 crore in this incident.

The trailer begins with the name of Telgi. Some call it a snake, some call it a fake coin and some call it smart. Then begins the story of executing the biggest scam. Actor Gagan introduces himself as Abdul Karim Telgi. Telgi's powerful dialogue, 'If the country's economy is Kuber's treasure, then stamp paper is the key' was liked by the fans. After the scam came to light, the police is trying to nab Telgi. 'Scam 2003: The Telgi Story' is produced by Applause Entertainment in association with StudioNext. The series is helmed by National Award winning director Hansal Mehta and Tushar Hiranandani. The series will stream on the OTT platform Sony Liv on September 1.
