Trunk Call (2019)

This is a story of the 1980s in India, an emotional journey of a mother, who is waiting for the landline telephone connection. In those days when mobiles were not existing, communication was slower but because it was slow it marked a value. It was meant to be connected to people staying far away - there was greater family bonding as everyone would wait at a landline to talk to someone near and dear to them, especially for a mother to talk to her son far away from home. The Punjabi family of Mr. Ahluwalia, his wife and sons is an interesting depiction of those good old days!
