Jodha Akbar (2013)

This is a period drama where the political marriage between Mughal emperor Akbar is depicted with Khatri princess Jodha Bai. After some hostility towards each other the couple eventually fall in love and change the fate of India. The series also showcases the wars of the time and how emperor Jalalluddin got his title of Akbar. It then depicts the life and love story of Akbar and Jodha’s son Salim with Anarkali. The show is directed by Santram Varma, Ranjan Singh, Vicky Chauhan and Arshad Khan Kadar Kazi. The show is produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor. The star cast includes Rajat Tokas, Paridhi Sharma, and Lavina Tandon.
