He established a system of surgery and operations using materials and methods from that age, which at the time rendered him an outcast in society but left a legacy that is now an essential part of medical history. This is the tale of Sushruta, the founder of modern medicine, performing surgery. His methods and tools have hardly altered in 2600 years. How did he develop such talent?
