Mahayagya (1997)

The drama, which is set in a tiny town in central India, begins with an average woman named Vimla Pandey (Rohini Hattangadi) overcoming seasoned politician Thakur Bhanu Pratap Singh to win the Parliament election (Manohar Singh). Vimla Pandey is on a mission to pay the Thakur back for past debts.
