Matti Ki Banno (2010)

The character of Matti Ki Banno, an orphaned girl, has spent her entire life fighting to be a part of a people and a nation. The central theme of the story is Avanti's resolve to get over her sense of alienation and loneliness as a result of losing all of her former family members, as well as her profound desire to have a family and a place to call her own. The programme begins when Avanti, now eighteen, tells the audience about her life's journey from when she was a spoiled kid of her parents in Muzaffarpur to how she was abandoned and exiled to being a horribly mistreated housemaid (in her own Bua's house) in the remote country of Muzaffarpur.
