Neerja Ek Nayi Pehchaan (2023)

Neerja Ek Nayi Pehchaan is a serial of the drama-thriller genre. This serial’s story mainly focuses upon the journey of Protima, a dedicated mother who lives in the city of joy- Kolkata’s Sonagachi area which is unfortunately famous for illegal sex rackets which involve various young girls. As Protima being well-aware of this harsh truth determines herself that she will always try to protect her daughter named Neerja from those evil forces which can devastate her life completely as she could be their next target. Further, Protima comes across Abeer who is an heir of the luxurious Bagchi family who is dealing with his scrambled past which has traumatised him a lot. Further, as their friendship evolves, they begin to admire each other and eventually form a pure relation with each other. However, they face various societal challenges and stereotypical remarks which affect their relationship. Later, the story takes a tragic turn when Neerja unknowingly enters the unholy place wherein she comes across Didun who is a very manipulative and cunning woman who targets young girls in order to make them the next whore of her business. What will happen further? Can Protima save Neerja from Didun’s evil plans? How will Abeer help Protima to protect Neerja from Didun? This serial presents a very sensitive concept to the audiences wherein it shows the evil impact of these ‘red-light districts’ on the society and how it ruins the lives of the youth.
