Ayub Khan

Khan as he confessed in one of his interviews that he belonged to the subdued school of acting that he did not click with the masses in the 90’s when he began his career. He acted in many films like Mashooq, Meri Aan, and Smuggler and left an impact in films like Dil Chahta Hai and Mrityudand.  He lacked the flamboyance with the stiff competition from his co-stars and contemporaries.

He did get a fair chance to be a part of good production houses but the films failed at the box office and he continues to be a known name in the film industry.

With not much scope in the mainstream, whereby he could not gauge the pulse of the audience,  had a number of flop movies, and just two or three good films and good roles to his credit he decided to shift his focus to television.

Even though he came from a background with a superstar Dilip Kumar as his uncle, and his own mother Begum Para a known actress of the 1950s, it's not always that a Godfather can help or support you to rise to your level. He did try his best with his hard work.

Currently, he is seen more on television in the series and television shows on OTT platforms. The actor is happy with the roles he gets a variety of positive and negative and now he looks forward to some comedy that’s popular among the audience. His most recent film is Ranju Ki Betiyaan on television.
