Shikast (1993)

1993 saw the release of the serial Shikast on the Doordarshan channel. Anubhav Sinha was the director, Naseeruddin Shah was the narrator, and Gulzaar Saab was the voice of Nazm. Later, Sony TV aired a rebroadcast of the programme. A well-known filmmaker in the Indian cinema business is Anubhav Sinha. He gained fame through the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Ra One and the more current Gulab Gang featuring Juhi Chawla and Madhuri Dixit. The show included some of the most recognisable actors in current Bollywood.
