The thrilling new series, Taskaree: The Smuggler’s Web, is created by Neeraj Pandey and directed by Raghav Jairath, and produced by Friday Storytellers. It stars Emraan Hashmi in the lead, supported by cast members like Sharad Kelkar and Amruta Khanvilkar. The first season will contain seven episodes.
The series plunges the viewers into the stressed-out and untouched realm of airport Customs. Emraan Hashmi portrays Arjun Meena, who is a calm but very attentive officer. He and his crew are responsible for taking apart complicated international smuggling networks, and they catch the wrongdoers who are hiding luxury goods or running large organised syndicates.
Starting from January 14, 2026, Taskaree will be available for streaming on the Netflix platform. The viewers should be ready for a very thrilling and different type of movie with great tension throughout. The series claims to offer a new role for Hashmi and to provide a deeper understanding of the silent and disciplined world of anti-smuggling intelligence operations.
