Karan Mehra began his Mumbai journey behind the scenes, assisting filmmakers Rajkumar Hirani and Ram Gopal Verma before stepping into acting with Love Story 2050. After modelling and commercials, destiny struck in 2009 when he landed the iconic role of Naitik Singhania in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, a character that made him a household name for over seven years.
He later showcased his versatility on reality shows like Nach Baliye and Bigg Boss, explored diverse roles including Khatmal E Ishq, films like Basthi Hai Sasthi, and Punjabi television with Mawaan Thandiyan Chawan. From television to music videos like Bewafa Tera Masoom Chehra, Mehra’s career reflects resilience, reinvention, and a constant passion for storytelling.
Career & Achievements
Born on 10 September 1982 in Jalandhar, Punjab, Mehra grew up in Delhi after his family relocated during his childhood. A graduate of Apeejay School, Noida, he began his working journey as a summer trainee at Domino’s Pizza after completing Class 12. Driven by creativity and ambition, he went on to study fashion designing at NIFT Delhi—where he emerged as the topper of his batch, marking the start of an inspiring professional path.
