Shirley Setia

Shirley Setia had made her film debut in the 2020 Hindi film Maska, which was released only on Netflix in 2022. Setia had made her debut on the big screen in the film Nikamm, and thereafter she had starred in the Telugu Film Krishna Vrinda Vihari, which was released in September 2022. 

Her YouTube, which was recorded in her bedroom wearing pyjamas, earned her the nickname ‘Pyjama Popstar’ in the media by the New Zealand Herald.

Shirely Setia worked for a radio show and took part in the local competitions in Auckland . Thereafter, she also gave her first concert in India, at Mumbai and in Hyderabad in the year 2016.  Forbes magazine’s Rob Cain wrote about her and her future goals.  Forbes also had mentioned at that time that she would be Bollywood’s Next Big Singing Sensation. Shirley was also acknowledged as one of the biggest international artists of New Zealand by TVNZ.

Since September 2023, she has had over 3.86 million subscribers on YouTube. She was invited by YouTube to be the ‘YouTube Creator’ and to give a live performance in the YouTube FanFest held in Mumbai between the years 2016 and 2017, after which she had gained popularity and her followers started increasing on YouTube.

Shirley Setia also acted in the remake of the Telugu film Middle Class Abbayi in 2017. She made her debut in the Telugu film Krishna Vrinda Vihari in September 2022.
