In 2003, Anusha Dandekar made her acting debut in Bollywood with the film Mumbai Matinee and acted in the film Viruddh in 2005 alongside veteran actors like Sanjay Dutt, Amitabh Bachchan, Sharmila Tagore and John Abraham. Her performance in the film won her the Best Debut Award at the Maharashtra Times Award in 2006.

She then went on to be the star for the Musical Miss Bollywood. In 2006 she starred in the film Anthony Kaun Hai ? alongside Arshad Warsi and Sanja Dutt. In 2013, Anusha made her Marathi film debut with her role in Jai Jai Maharashtra Majha. In 2012, Anusha Dandekar made her music debut with the Single Better Than Your Ex. The song was in English which was released in June that year.

Anusha Dandekar besides her acting skills is also a fashion icon and has graced the covers of some of the top international magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Elle and Seventeen. She endorsed the brands like Reebok, Toni & Guy, Crocs and Lee Jeans.

In 2017 Dandekar became a mentor on a show India’s Next Top Model which is aired on MTV India.

Some of the roles she essayed in films were Mumbai Matinee in 2003, Viruddh in 2005, Anthony Kaun Hai 8in 2006, Hello in 2008, City of Gold and Lalbaug Parel in 2010, Delhi Belly in 2011, Jai Jai Maharashtra Maaza in 2012, Bhavesh Joshi Superhero in 2018, Baap Manus in 2023 and in 2024, she acted in Juna Furniture.

She was also a part of the MTV Dance Crew in 2008 and 2009, In MTV Rock On in 2010 and India’s Next Top Model in 2015 to 2018. Between 2016 and 2019, she was a part of MTV Love School and in 2019 to 2021 she was a part of the Super Model of the Year.

Anusha Dandekar made special appearance in MTV Troll Police as a guest in 2018 and in Ace of Space:1.

Awards: Anusha has been nominated for Stardust Awards for Most exciting New Face for the 2004 Mumbai Matinee. Thereafter she got nominated for Stardust Award for Breakthrough Performance Female for Viruddh in 2006. She won the Best Debut Award for Maharashtra Times Sanmaan for Viruddh in 2006.

She has won awards for Cosmopolitan Fun Fearless Female Award for Best VJ in 2009, and is one of the Femina’s list of 50 Most Beautiful Women in India Award in 2010.
