Synopsis

After the 1971 Indo-Pak war, Pakistan moves their POW(prisoner’s of war) to a temporary but heavily guarded jail. They have tried several times to escape but failed each time and in return been tortured and beaten to not attempt something like this again. However Maj. Suraj Singh, played by Manoj Bajpayee, will not give up so easily. He along with his gang on 5 soldiers plan to give it a final shot in a do or die attempt. All the Indian POW are given a chance to escape the ruthless Pakistani captivity and be free. Maj. Suraj plans an escape with his 5 friends on Pakistani Independence day. Everything seems to be in place and they eagerly await the day of action. When the day finally arrives all doesn’t go as planned, as one bomb doesn’t explode. They make a run to freedom anyways. Maj.Suraj watches his brave friends die one by one, a day that will be etched in the history of India. The movie is directed by Amrit Sagar and produced by Amrit Sagar and Moti Sagar. The music is composed by Akash Sagar. The cinematography is by Chirantan Das. The Screenplay and dialogues are written by Piyush Mishra.
