Aap Ki Kasam (1974)

Aap Ki Kasam is a love story released in 1974, produced by J. Om Prakash which marked his directorial debut. The star cast is Rajesh Khanna, Mumtaz, Sanjeev Kumar, Rehman, Asrani and A.K. Hangal. The story of this film revolves around a poor man Kamal (Rajesh Khanna) and a rich girl Sunita Bhatnagar(Mumtaz) who meet and fall in love and get married after lot of romance and courtship between the two. However, their marital bliss is short-lived due to the jealousy that creeps into the life of Kamal who suspects his wife having a clandestine affair with his best friend Mohan (Sanjeev Kumar) and their fondness for each other which in reality was more of being good friends only which Kamal refuses to see. Sunita’s father(Rehman) urges his daughter to go in for a divorce. Sunita is pregnant with Kamal’s child and gives birth to a baby girl and remarries. Kamal has realized his mistake and is a lost man, wandering homeless and in search of penance for his distrusting his friend and his wife and thus spoiling and ruining his life .. At the end of the story they unite for his daughter’s marriage.
