“Antony” is an action drama movie that is directed and written by Joshiy, starring Joju George in the central role with Kalyani Priyadarshan, Chemban Vinod Jose, Nyla Usha, and Vijayaraghavan. The film is set on “Antony Anthrapper”, a ruthless gangster whose life takes a complete turn when he becomes the guardian of “Ann Maria”, an aggressive college girl trained in MMA.

Antony's name as a dreaded criminal is synonymous, but it all takes a different turn when he kills “Xavier”, a neighborhood goon, by accident. This leaves Xavier's daughter Ann Maria an orphan. In spite of her fury and waywardness, Antony decides to own her up, and thus starts an unlikely rapport between them. As they start getting closer to each other, both Antony and Ann Maria begin to transform, while he mellows, she learns to manage her anger. But their newfound happiness is disrupted when an old, nefarious foe of Antony, Tarzan, comes back seeking revenge. Having no other option, Antony and Ann Maria are forced to retaliate to save their future.

Antony excels with its emotional depth and high-octane action scenes. Joju George gives a commanding performance, effortlessly balancing Antony's brutal personality with his inner turmoil. Kalyani Priyadarshan does well as Ann Maria, performing satisfactorily in action and dramatic scenes. The movie is complemented by engrossing fight scenes, pleasing camera work, and an interesting background score. Joshiy once again proves his hand at narration, delivering a movie which blends action with heavy emotional undertones.
