Abbas, played by Abhishek Bachchan loses his job when his ancestral property is taken by deception. His family friend Shastri, played by Asrani advices them to stay in his village of Ranakpur and promises him a job at his boss’s place. His boss Prithviraj, played by Ajay Devgn is a powerful and kind man who always helps the villagers, but dislikes people who lie and punishes them severely. Abbas along with his sister Sania, played by Asin arrive at Ranakpur and learn of a temple, which is locked up, and is in dispute between Pritviraj and his cousin Vikrant.
One day a small boy falls into the temple’s well and Abbas breaks the lock to save him. His friend Ravi, tells Prithviraj that Abbas’s real name is Abhishek Bachchan to avoid any communal conflict. Prithviraj gets impressed and hires him but one day gets suspicious when he sees him celebrating Eid. Ravi tells him that isn’t Abhishek but its Abbas who is a kathak dancer. Prithviraj hires Abbas to teach kathak to his sister Radhika, played by Prachi Desai.
The movie revolves around the humorous cover-ups Abbas has to continually do to hide his identity from all. Later on when Prithviraj finally comes to know the truth he gets furious but eventually forgives Abbas. The movie is directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Ajay Devgn and Dhillin Mehta. The music is composed by Himesh Reshammiya and Ajay-Atul.
