Chaitali is directed by veteran director Hrishkesh Mukherjee and released in the year 1975. The film is produced by Mrs. Monabai Roy and is a remake of Bengali film with the same name in the year 1971. Starring Dharmendra, Saira Banu and Pradeep Kumar in the lead role.
The film is based on a social message in the interest of the audience and general public.. Manish an engineer is posted as an inspector in Bengal and he is very strict who doe s not let a smuggler carry on any illegal and malpractice activities to take place under his control . However due to circumstances, Manish is being forced to accept the smuggler’s wrath and anger against him. How does Manish tackle him?
