Ravi is a well known doctor in New york and married to Anuradha, also a doctor, who is researching on Leukemia. Ravi gets home sick and wants to visit India. He is happy when he gets the offer to be the head of surgery at Tata Memorial Hospital and decides to take up the job. Anuradha does not want to come to India and continue her research. This creates misunderstandings between the couple and they divorce.
Anuradha is pregnant at the time but does not disclose it to Ravi. Ravi comes back to India and while working with a patient Bhardwaj, meets his daughter Asha. Bhardwaj makes Ravi marry his Asha before his death. Soon Asha and Ravi have a daughter named Khushboo, but
unfortunately Asha dies from childbirth. On her 11 th birthday, Kushboo is diagnosed with Leukemia and taken to New York for treatment where her doctor is non other than Anuradha. Khushboo now needs a bone marrow transplant and turns out, Anuradha’s son Shashi is the perfect match for her blood. Later Ravi comes to know that he is the biological father of Sashi. Soon they all leave New York for India and Anuradha too joins them. The film is directed by Sher Jung Singh and produced by Hitkaran Singh. The star cast includes Sunil Dutt, Reena Roy, Smita Patil, Padmini Kolhapure, Satyen Kappu, Madan Puri and Khushboo.
