Devi (1970)

Devi is an Emotional-Romantic Family Tragedy Drama Film exceptionally crafted by V. Madhusudan Rao. The Story revolves around the life of Devi (played by Nutan)- A Kind-Hearted Woman living with her Mother in the Village who fells in love with Dr. Shekar (played by Sanjeev Kumar) and agrees to marry each other. However, Shekhar's elder brother and other family members oppose the relationship- but he disagrees with them and marries her. When he visits the city for a Medical Practice and gets shocked when he returns and finds out Devi Missing and finds her Photograph in a Brothel, leading to consequences.
