First Love Letter (1991)

Radha is brought up in a wealthy household but feel stifled in the confines of her palatial protection. She wants to spend time in the valleys of Palampur where her uncle too stays. Her father TahkurAjit is not too happy about this but gives in to his only daughter’s wishes. Soon Radha moves in with her uncle and explores the scenic beauty of the place. One day she meets a simple boy named Shyam and they both fall in love. She however does not disclose her true identity at first but slowly he comes to know. Her father is furious on knowing that his daughter is romancing a milk man’s son. Radha’s marriage is promptly fixed with Thakur Ambar but she refuses. He feels sorry for the lovers and wants Radha to be with Shyam. Soon a ghastly battle ensues and Ambar is injured. Seeing their undying love Thakur Ajit gives in to the lovers demands. The film is directed by Shiva and produced by Pahlaj Nihalani. The music is composed byBappi Lahiri. The star cast includes Vivek Mushran, Manisha Koirala, Danny Denzongpa,Gulshan Grover,Chunkey Pandey,Dalip Tahil,Paintal,Harish Patel, Reema Lagoo, Beena Banerjee, Sushma Seth and Sonika Gill.
